A public information session was held on March 30, 2010. For those of your who could not attend here is a summary I created after speaking with the contractors for awhile. This is a link to the information boards that were presented.
Interestingly it was Stop the Bridge, that let me know about this event. NOT the contractors running the information session NOT the government agencies involved. NOT my existing city councilor. The Battle of Kettle Island is a video with an embedded map that provides some background. Here is video of a public meeting in the last phase of this project.
I am not sure what to think about the inter provincial bridge issue yet. It is something that I am asking my constituents in ward 11 though, and recording their answers. My position on this issue is going to represent the opinions of my constituents. The vast majority of which at this point don't seem to care one way or the other. If you do care about this issue and do live in ward 11, I need to know. Please contact me.
